Please read these Terms carefully before using the SOI Platform. By registering or using our services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

About SUPERVISORS OF INDIA (SOI)

SUPERVISORS OF INDIA (SOI) is a private digital marketplace and intermediary platform operating at soiglobal.in (the Website or Platform). SOI connects Clients, including project owners, contractors, developers, and businesses, with Construction Professionals such as site supervisors, civil engineers, architects, interior designers, project managers, quantity surveyors, MEP engineers, 3D visualizers, and other construction-related professionals across India.

SOI operates as an intermediary platform and does not itself undertake construction work or supply labour. SOI is not a contractor, employer, recruitment agency, construction company, labour contractor, staffing firm, or government platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering on, or using the SOI Platform, you unconditionally agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and Refund & Cancellation Policy published on the Website.

These Terms constitute an agreement between you and SOI under applicable Indian law. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Platform.

Your continued use of the Platform following publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

Eligibility

To register on or use the SOI Platform, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age or are a duly authorised representative of a legal entity.
  • You are legally competent to enter into applicable agreements.
  • All information provided by you is accurate, current, complete, and not misleading.
  • Your use of the Platform does not violate applicable law, regulation, court order, or third-party rights.
  • You have not previously been suspended or banned from the Platform.

User Accounts

Certain Platform features require registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity conducted through your account.

You must promptly notify SOI if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. SOI may suspend or restrict accounts where necessary to protect the Platform, users, or third parties.

Types of Users

The Platform may be used by Clients seeking construction-related professionals and by Professionals offering construction-related skills and services.

Users must accurately represent their role, qualifications, experience, business identity, and other material information.

Professional Registration and Profile

Professionals may create profiles containing information about their professional background, skills, experience, location, qualifications, portfolio, and services.

SOI may review submitted information and may approve, reject, suspend, or request clarification regarding a professional profile. Approval does not constitute a guarantee, certification, employment relationship, or warranty by SOI regarding the Professional.

Professionals are solely responsible for ensuring that information submitted to SOI remains accurate and current.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for evaluating Professionals independently before entering into any engagement. Clients should verify qualifications, experience, availability, pricing, references, documents, and suitability for their particular project.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate project information and for complying with applicable construction, safety, planning, labour, taxation, contractual, and other legal requirements.

SOI's Role as Intermediary — Limited Liability

SOI provides a technology platform intended to facilitate discovery and communication between users. SOI does not control the acts, omissions, qualifications, representations, pricing, availability, conduct, or performance of independent users.

Where applicable, SOI intends to operate within the intermediary framework recognised under Indian law and will comply with applicable due-diligence and lawful-request requirements.

All engagements, agreements, payments, and project arrangements between Clients and Professionals are entered into by those parties directly unless SOI expressly states otherwise.

KYC Verification

SOI may request documents or information for identity, professional, business, or other verification purposes. Verification may include review of identity documents, professional credentials, contact information, experience, or other information reasonably required for Platform safety.

A verified or approved status does not guarantee future performance, professional competence, honesty, availability, or suitability for any particular project.

Membership and Platform Services

SOI may provide free and paid Platform features. Features, pricing, availability, membership benefits, limits, and eligibility may be changed from time to time.

Where a paid service is offered, applicable charges and conditions will be presented to the user before purchase to the extent required by law.

Payments

Where SOI offers paid services, payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. Users agree to provide accurate billing information and comply with applicable payment-provider terms.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, SOI does not control payment processing systems operated by third parties and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party payment services.

User Content

Users may submit profile information, photographs, documents, project descriptions, messages, reviews, portfolio materials, and other content.

By submitting content, you represent that you have the necessary rights to submit it and that the content does not violate law or third-party rights.

You grant SOI a non-exclusive, limited licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute submitted content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the Platform, subject to applicable law and your account settings.

Prohibited Activities

Users must not use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, or harmful purposes.

  • Providing false or misleading professional or project information.
  • Impersonating another person, business, or organisation.
  • Uploading malware or attempting to compromise Platform security.
  • Using the Platform for spam, harassment, threats, or unlawful solicitation.
  • Attempting to access another user's account or private information.
  • Using the Platform to facilitate unlawful construction, labour, financial, or other activities.
  • Scraping or systematically extracting Platform data without written permission.
  • Circumventing Platform security, access controls, or usage restrictions.

Intellectual Property

The SOI name, logo, branding, Website design, software, graphics, text, interface, and other Platform materials are owned by or licensed to SOI and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit SOI intellectual property without prior written permission.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, payment providers, authentication providers, maps, analytics services, or other resources.

SOI does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability, policies, security, or practices. Users should review the applicable third-party terms and policies.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, users agree to indemnify and hold harmless SOI, its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from the user's unlawful conduct, breach of these Terms, violation of third-party rights, or misuse of the Platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SOI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform.

SOI does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, completeness, suitability, quality, safety, or performance of any Professional, Client, project, service, or user-generated information.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an as-available and as-is basis to the extent permitted by law. SOI does not warrant that the Platform will always operate without interruption, error, delay, security vulnerabilities, or technical defects.

Information on the Platform is provided for marketplace and informational purposes and should not be treated as professional legal, engineering, architectural, financial, construction, or other specialist advice unless expressly provided by a qualified professional independently engaged by the user.

Suspension and Termination

SOI may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, security concerns, legal requirements, repeated complaints, or other legitimate Platform-protection reasons.

Users may stop using the Platform at any time. Certain provisions concerning intellectual property, liability, indemnification, disputes, and accrued obligations may continue after termination.

Force Majeure

SOI shall not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, power or telecommunications failures, cyber incidents, infrastructure failures, epidemics, or failures of third-party service providers.

Grievance Redressal

Users may submit complaints, concerns, or grievances relating to the Platform to info@soiglobal.in. SOI will review complaints and take reasonable action in accordance with applicable law and its internal procedures.

Privacy

SOI processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable Indian data-protection requirements. By using the Platform, users acknowledge that information may be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.

Waiver

A failure or delay by SOI in exercising any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right. Any waiver must be expressly made in writing.

Changes to These Terms

SOI may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on the Website and may include a revised effective date.

Users should periodically review the Terms. Continued use of the Platform after an update may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve disputes through communication and reasonable negotiation before pursuing formal proceedings. Subject to applicable law, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and other policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between the user and SOI concerning use of the Platform, except where a separate written agreement expressly applies.
